I purchased this Super Puppy in 1985. The Super Puppy came in weights up to 199gr.
The PDGA legal limit was 174gr for a 21cm disc. A disc could weigh no more than 8.3 grams per cm across. A disc could be no heavier than 200 grams and no smaller then 21cm.
The Super Puppy along with other Destiny and Voit discs caused some concern at tournaments. Would a disc weigh in be necessary? It never came down to that as more PDGA legal discs flooded the market. The new rim designs made for distance trumped heavier weights . eTtre to add text.
